Court Of Appeal Upholds Election Of Governor Ishaku Of Taraba State

An Appellate Court in Abuja has delivered it final judgment on the conduct of the election in Taraba state. The Court of Appeal with a five-member panel led by Justice Abdul Aboki has actually decided in favor of the prospect of the People’s Democratic Party, Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku of Taraba State ruling that Ishaku’s nomination by PDP might not be questioned by a non-member of the party and therefore stating that his nomination adhered to area 85 of the electoral act.

The Court, for that reason, upheld Mr. Ishaku’s election, after supporting many of his 3 grounds of appeal versus the cross-appeal submitted by the prospect of the All Progressive Congress, Aisha Alhassan, who had requested for the cancellation of the election.
